Lazy Days of Summer
The dog days of summer are considered those hot, sultry days
between late July and early September. While
we’re in the midst of those hot days, it’s always a pleasure retreating into
the air conditioner and stitching away for most of the day and the evening.
With summer winding down, Betty and Madalena are going to be
taking a break. Stitch By Stitch will be
closing at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 22nd through Labor Day. We will reopen again on Wednesday, September 3rd
at 10 a.m.
Why not use this week to clean-up and prioritize your
needlepoint projects. Go through your
stash to make sure that you have all the supplies you may need for the next
couple of weeks. Stop by the store and check out our sale and kit a new
project! We also have a great series of
classes planned over the next few months – check out the canvases and sign up.
Take advantage of the longer days and slower pace of summer living to complete
projects before the holiday finishing deadline of Friday, September 5th
for Hanukkah and Christmas and Friday, November 14th for tallis bags
and holiday stockings.
We hope you all take pleasure in the unofficial last days of
summer and have a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend, and we look forward to
serving you again soon.
Keep on stitchin’!
